Ok, I will admit I am clueless-shame on me! I hate it when ya put conditions on the question! Kinda takes the fun out of the research... I looked, but I promise not to tell. Thanks for the web adventure tho!

As I remember it was "Wyoming"; followed by Utah, Colorado and Idaho. Just something that I think I remember but I could be wrong.

Second question: What was the first state to elect a women to Congress?

LN:

Technically, the answers that Helen and I gave are incorrect. You should be able to tell me why. Good question.

There is a difference between a territory and a state. Still, which state was the first to elect a woman to Congress?

Answers please.
