WOuld it be a safe assumption that as long as the hydrologic cycle perpetuates, our water supply is stabalized?

Not really, the water cycle could remain constant, and the water in it could still be affected by the pollutants in the atmosphere. Only a minute ammount of water in the world is drinkable anywaydue to the high salt water contant. The percentage of water in the world that is fresh is extremely low, due to the frozen glaciers. It is important to not pollute our atmosphere because in this day in age nothing in the envrioment is stable.
