A relatively easy shot to set up using a feeding station over winter. Unfortunately the majority of feather detail has been lost in the low resolution scan and compression. The trend in the UK is not to have large images of birds, but to include more habitat. However I realy like the pose in this picture. Minor gripe is the feeding table rim to the bottom, but if cropped-out the legs would vanish into thin air, which would be even worse in my view.

How sharp is this image well done on such a 'flighty' subject. One tiny criticism I would have liked to see its feet, I must admit it is something I do from time to time with my shots. Cheers.
