I've Lost My Indian Drum!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Hedgehog Talk : One Thread

In my entry today, I quote a Kids in the Hall sketch about Mark losing his Indian drum. Follow the link if you are not an aficionado. Which one are you, the one looking for the thing right above his head, or the one calling and calling at the person not looking up?

I'm both, depending on the day. I can walk around with my keys in my hand wondering where my keys are. Can? I mean, I often do! At the same time, I frustrated when people ask questions, I answer them, and they ignore my answer and ask me again! What's wrong with people?

The one calling and calling and calling.....

every once in a while, someone listens, too!

I'm the finder in my house. Unfortunately, I'm KNOWN as the finder in my house, so people don't even bother looking half the time. They just ask me where it is. Other times, when they swear they can't find it, I'll bet that I can find it while holding my breath. I usually win. A frequent exchange:

"Where's my coat/shoes/laundry/etc.?"

"Did you check the coatrack/shoe rack/closet/wherever the hell it's SUPPOSED to be?"

"Huh. Who the heck put it THERE?"
