hearing aid (anyone use Lloyd's?) (Misc.)

Has any one ever tried the Lloyd"s hearing aid, the soft-200,it sells for 350.00. We heard about it on the radio. My husband is at the stage where he's always saying what? This model would be cheaper than going to the hearing centers in town. But does it work? Thanks for your answers.

Response to hearing aid

I have been wearing hearing aid 1/2 my life and have had to deal with lots of different hearing aids. First thing to do is to get a medical exam as to why he is having a hearing problem. It might be medical and treatable. NOTE: I am not talking about a hearing test given by an audiogist, but a medical exam by a doctor. It could be a simple issue of excess wax, or an operable condition. If there is nothing to "fix" then have a hearing test. You need to determine the amount of loss and the type of loss. Then you find a hearing aid that fits the hearing loss. The lloyds might fit this need and again might not. If its a slight loss there are disposable hearing aids now for under $40. The lloyds might work, but you need the test first to determine your needs.
