I've been trying to make a decent looking svcd for weeks now using TMPEG, but I keep getting lots of blockiness during scenes where the camera moves. Changing the bitrate doesn't help very much. Could it be my dvd player-Apex 660, or is this an unavoidable problem?

Try to to set motion precision search to highest it helps a lot!

TPMEG is not very god. Try whit Panasonic MPEG Encoder
