What do you think of the Brutale?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

Greetings,

I am scheduled to receive a Brutale Oro from my dealer when they arrive. I placed a deposit long ago because the bike sounded like such a cool idea (naked F4). But lately I am having 2nd thoughts. The Brutale doesn't seem to be well-received, and I heard that sales of the Oro were very slow. Personally, I can't decide what to make of the bike's appearance now that more photos are beginning to show up in the magazines.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the Brutale. All comments appreciated.

Peace

I really like the Brutale...it is the ulimate streetfighter. But it does share too many things with the F4 that keeps it in the shadows, for now. I would have changed the headlights to something similar to the Triumph Speed Triple, maybe even sleeker looking. Also bar end mirrors would have been a nice touch.
It does make me wan to run my F4 naked though...

Personally, I'm not too fond of it because I like my bike fully clothed. But that's just my opinion.

I'd recommend seeing it in person before you change your mind. Pictures don't always do justice.

If you choose not to take it, the next person on the list will be pleasantly surprised. You can then go to a F4s (which should be more easily available at that time) or an SPR version.

I wouldn't take back your deposit till seeing it in person (pictures don't always do bikes justice), but I would make sure your deposit is refundable, just encase you don't like it once it arrives.

i've seen it at the motorcycle show here in the UK and reckon it looks fantastic!! I've already got a F4 but was interested in the Brutale as well but have only been put off by wait list (another year at least for the cheaper version), hassles i've had with the F4 and doubts and rumours about the factory. so i've gone and brought a S4 MOnster instead.

Upshot being that i reckon if you've only got a few $s down and are not in a hurry, you should keep it there...you never know it may turn up!!
