The dialect of Spanish spoken in Mexico is not Castillian. Bush can actually speak "Mexican". Can you? Can Algor?

...or algore, who flunked graduate school.

Bush can actually speak "Mexican".

Okay, I'm going to type this very s-l-o-w-l-y for you...pay attention now...Mexico is a country. The people who live there are Mexicans. They speak Spanish. There is no language called "Mexican" no matter how hard you try to justify it. There will be a quiz on Friday.

Can Algor?

What in the hell does HE have to do with anything?

Check todays polls Einstein. 63% of population think he's a swell kinda guy!

So 63% of the population is a dumb as he is. Should I be impressed?

...or algore, who flunked graduate school.

You folks are really desperate to defend your Idiot Hero to keep digging up this buncha' bullshit. I notice you're not tauting Bush's educational "accomplishments" in defense. (because he doesn't HAVE any!)

Accept it people, your guy is a dimwit. That's why his "trainers" won't let him speak extemporaneously. He just can't keep his Texan boots outta' his mouth.

Just preparing you for another four years is all!

YES!!!

I believe Bush has an MBA from Harvard.

Ummm...maybe but he won all three debates against the best the Dummocrats could find.

LOL!

Damn, that was a dumb thing to say.

And you are so desperate to bash him that you don't mind coming off as a fool.

The word is tout, not . Duuuh.

-- Lars (larsguy@yahoo.com), April 24, 2001.

tout, not taut.

-- Lars (larsguy@yahoo.com), April 24, 2001.

I don't care what silly things he says. I don't care about his policies. I just like him better than the other choice (?) we had last November. I like his momma too.

-- helen (I_vote_too@re.you.scared), April 24, 2001.

I didn't like him or Al, I didn't vote for either of them (though I do like Barbara Bush). Anyway you slice it, that was a dumb thing to say.

-- Tarzan the Ape Man (tarzan@swingingthroughthejunglewithouta.net), April 24, 2001.

All that coke he did blew his neurons to hell. Face it you stupid fucking repugs, our current (gag) resident is a major league dumbass. Of course you morons don't notice because he speaks at your level. What a bunch of stupid fucking repugs!

-- Tony Baloney (Fuck you@repugs.com), April 24, 2001.

tout, not taut.

Yup, 'ya got me. It's what happens when you type on the fly and don't bother to proofread. But now, Lars, my man, I get to return the pettiness and slam YOU for every innocent error you make. That door swings both ways fella', so be forewarned.

Oh yeah.....it's only when people have NO other argument that they pick on the little, inconsequential things. And to think I once respected you. Silly me!

-- TurnAround (IsFair@Play.com), April 24, 2001.

*You* once respected me? Thank you, but I don't even know who *you* are. Why don't you pick one screen name and stick to it?

If you only made a typo, I apologize for being petty. I thought that maybe you didn't know the difference between the two words (sort of a Bushism if you know what I mean)

I stand partly corrected on the distinction of Mexican and Spanish. I would call the language spoken in Mexico to be Mexican-Spanish in the same sense as our own language is American-English, the language of Australia is Aussie-English and the language of Haiti is creole-French.

The significant point to me is that Bush actually is fluent in TexMex-Spanish (altho probably no more fluent than he is in English). He is the first President in my long memory to speak any foreign language, however imperfectly.

If you don't like responses with an attitude, then don't initiate posts with an attitude.

-- Lars (larsguy@yahoo.com), April 24, 2001.

Tony, he's got the cutest little smile when he's talking tough...

I speak with natives of Mexico every day. They ask to speak to someone who speaks Spanish, not "Mexican".

-- helen (gosh@re.we.awake), April 24, 2001.

Why don't you pick one screen name and stick to it?

Sometimes I do. Sometimes I don't. What difference does it make in the Grand Scheme of things, anyway?

-- aRose (IsStill@A-rose.com), April 24, 2001.

Geez, you two, lighten up!

Lars, it was a dumb thing for Bush to say. There's no other way around it, he said something stupid.

Anony-poster, sometimes smart people say dumb things. Sometimes dumb people say smart things. The things people say aren't the only indication of how someone's mind works. If you want to make a case that Bush is dumb (and frankly, I think he may very well be dumb), then you'll convince more people with evidence rather than insults.

ROFLMAO....

Gotta hand it to you all, now THIS was a funny thread.

taut, not tout, or tote? LMAO, you go lars. too funny.
