I have to say that nothing beats a good steak on the grill, but sausages come close.

I have grilled just about everything that can be grilled including paella and shark. Shark is probably my favorite, but I haven't had it since I left California. We would get thresher shark steaks (or swordfish if the shark was out) and then marinade the steaks in a butter, lemon and dill mixture. Then toss the steaks on the grill and occasionally brush the steaks with the left over marinade. I also like to grill corn and bake potatoes.

tenderloin of venison... with a red wine marinade... salt, a touch of garlic clove crushed in a mortar and pestle. a simple california red wine will do nicely. a dark green, leafy salad with olive oil and vinegar (not too much), a small potato... rubbed w/ olive oil and sprinkled with salt... 475F for 45 minutes. good company helps.

I tell you that I agree 100%, a BBQ is the BEST. I love to BBQ a beef or chicken saté. That dipped in a great Indonesian Peanut Sauce is amazing! Have an entire meal on the barbie is the best! It woiuld have to involve potatoes covered in garlic butter before being foiled, veggies on the BBQ, saté and some spicy Italian saugaes as well! Haven't quite got to dessert on the BBQ yet. After eating the meal I can't get up one more time to coook more!
