My county is going to hell Our sheriff is being investigated for Rape. His deputy is being investigated for destroying evidence in a drug raid and is thought to be part of a drug ring. Our treasurer has been convicted of stealing money, 2 years in jail and 9 probation and now this Two emergency medical technicians were found shot to death early today at an ambulance station in Pike County, Ind.

The bodies of the victims, a man and a woman, were discovered by a fellow worker reporting for day-shift duty, according to unofficial reports. Both EMTs had been shot sometime during their overnight shift.

Indiana State Police confirmed officers had been dispatched early today to the "EMS barn" on Indiana 61 just south of Pike Central High School, but disclosed no other details.

The station of the Pike County Emergency Medical Service is located about five miles south of Petersburg.

There is a man hunt out for the sheriff for the murders...The woman he IS accused of raping is also missing

Wow. Nice to see you here, Grant.

So who is investigating if the sheriff is the criminal? Do you know if the investigators are NOT criminals? Do you have a big loud dog and plenty of ammo in case the sheriff remembers where you live?

You're not all that far from me, either. Of course this half of the state has the boats now, it's a wonder it's not worse.

Indeed scary stuff. Looks like the State Police arrested one of the EMTs coworkers and charged him w/ the crime. I can't imagine what could motivate someone to just walk in a blast somebody. Not like a self defense situation or anything, just BOOM, your dead. It's one thing if their shootin' at you or something.

It's a strange world out there. So far this year in Jackson and Jennings Counties -14 Meth labs at last count. I'm beginning to see more Meth patients in the ER. Their a LOT of fun.

Take care of your own as best you can I guess.

Hang in there Grant. This too shall pass. In 1972, I had just graduated from high school, and we left for a week to go on vacation. When we got back, we discovered the sheriff had been killed by a mentally handicapped man who had just walked up to him while he was sitting in his car at the hospital parking lot and shot him. While the locals and the Texas Rangers were looking for the shooter, one of the Texas Rangers shot and killed another mentally handicapped man instead. Then, the police dispatcher's son decided to terminate a long standing friendship by killing his friend in downtown, on main street at 9 p.m. on Saturday night. They got into an agrument, the friend jumped out of the car and started to run when the dispatcher's son, who was twice as large, began to beat him. As the friend ran away, the big man took a shot gun he happened to have ready and shot him in the back, then walked over and put the gun to the back of his head and pulled the trigger again. All this with 30 or more witnesses. No charges were ever filed on any one. The Texas Ranger got a promotion, in fact. Anyway, if this little po-dunk town of 4200 could survive that, your town will too. It is disturbing, yes, but things will quite down again, and life will go on. There has always been senseless violence, and always been tragedy. Things will work out in the end.
