Did Dubya Say Uncle?

Prescott Bush is Dubya's uncle. Brother of the former President.

US-China Chamber of Commerce

Uncle Bush Dear Prospective Member:

As we are marching into the 21st Century, the interaction between the U.S. and China has created a sea of opportunities: dynamic growth and endless possibilities for profits. However, these opportunities exist if and only if we understand the commercial requirements and the cultural, legal, and market constraints of both countries with a will towards adapting to them.

The U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce, the only truly bi-national organization of its kind concentrating on strengthening business and cultural relations between America and China, was founded on the premise to assist both American and Chinese companies to better understand the business and cultural traditions relevant to successful business undertakings. To achieve this goal, our organization engages in numerous functions such as dinners to commemorate important events in both countries; seminars and conferences featuring business, government, and academic experts on various aspects of U.S.-China relations; hosting Chinese delegations coming to America and conducting trade missions from the U.S. to China. Our objective is to establish the Chamber as the center for both U.S. and Chinese companies to obtain information and share their experience and knowledge regarding the U.S. and Chinese markets and cultures.

China has a special place in my heart. I have been personally involved in China for over 15 years. My brother, George has been instrumental in the development of U.S. and China relations since 1974. I, like many others, strongly believe that China will be the world's largest economy in the next 50 years, and along with America, will play a significant role in shaping the world's peace and economy.

I strongly urge you to participate in this unprecedented moment in history, the dramatic changes in the economic landscape of the U.S. and China. I also urge you to take advantage of what the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce has to offer. Read our membership materials! Log on to our Website! Come to our programs!

As Chairman of the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce, I look forward to welcoming you as a member of our expanding organization.

MISSION

United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit, bi-national membership organization dedicated to developing increased U.S.-China trade and investment activities by assisting American and Chinese companies, professionals and the general public to better understand the business environment and cultural traditions relevant to successfully doing business in both countries. USCCC conducts a wide range of activities – such as seminars, conferences, workshops, executive briefings, trade missions and networking events – to identify the technological, economic, financial, demographic and cultural trends that are critical for successful economic development between the U.S. and China. USCCC also aids both American and Chinese companies in locating business partners for trade and investments, and provides important governmental and business introductions for companies of all sizes in the U.S. and in China.
