My dear hubby loved Katahdin potatoes as a kid and we have been looking for this variety for a few years now. Is anyone out there growing these? Have a few sets you are willing to sell? Know of a place we could order them? So many varieties are just numbers now it is hardto find the older types.

Michelle, Your search is over- www.irish-eyes.com sells Katahdins. Just go to potatoes, then select them from the mid-season drop down menu. This website has a pretty good selection of potatoes, onion sets, shallots, garlic, etc. if anyone else is looking for something in particular. Enjoy!

Michelle, After I posted, I decided to look around the site myself, and discoverd that Irish Eyes is sold out of the Katahdins, so I found another site that appears to still have them in stock at $2.50/5 lbs. Additional amounts can be purchased at a nice discount off the per lb. rate. the web address is www.seedpro.cc/page4.html Sorry about the first site-Hope this helps!

Write (no web page) or call: Fedco SeedsP.O. Box 520
Waterville Maine 04903
207-873-7333.
Ask for their potato catalogue. While you're at it, ask for their seed catalogue too, you won't regret it.

Michelle, Another excellent place to try is Wood Prairie Farm in Bridgewater, ME (www.woodprairie.com). Their seed potatoes are organically grown so you don't have to worry about GMO's.Murray in ME

Michelle, Thanks for the heads up on the GMO's. That'll teach me to breeze through a new website. Hope you had good luck with the other suggestions. Kristin
