A mate of mine had to do some business with NUFC a few weeks ago and to cut a long story short, he got talking to a woman about Radio 5 Live's A.S.Qs. She told him that the B.B.C had asked whether they could hold an edition at St.James's and had been told that they could, for a fee of £90.00 (room hire). The Beeb told them to get stuffed and in two weeks time A.S.Qs will be broadcast from the S.O.S!Now I am assured that that is absolutely kosher. It seems that some things about NUFC will never change.

They're not a bliddy charity. Why should Auntie get the room free when I'd have to pay for the kid's birthday bash?

Just think what NUFC could have done with that £90 - perhaps a half bottle of a decent claret for Doug & Fred?In the meantime, hosting this BBC program will be worth several thousand pounds of PR for SAFC.
It is truly unbelievable how incomparably stupid and short-sighted NUFC is. I despair.
