How can i reinvent myself

greenspun.com : LUSENET : What keeps you up at night? : One Thread

HI, I'm 20 years old. Currently working in Analog Devices Philippines as technician. I don't know how to perform to my best. It's like I'm not doing anything right. I want to change.

Hi Michele, I've been in a similar situation myself. Everything you touch seems to go to hell in a handbasket (please excuse my candor). What worked for me was to think about why this was happening. Was it because I wasn't trained properly, was I not paying attention to what I was doing, should I have asked more questioned etc? A lot of times you can chalk it up to inexperience. You're still young so you can't expect to know everything. I was just promoted into a management position and I've never really had experience being a manager. Maybe your company can send you to a training class or maybe they offer something in house. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions or to make mistakes for that matter. I feel that mistakes are one of the best learning tools out there. Just don't make the same mistakes twice. I'm not sure if I've helped you any. I hope I did. Feel free to email me at any time if you'd like to talk some more. Good luck!! I'm sure you'll be fine!!
