I believe there does exist some sort of tiebreaker system, and I think I've seen what the first one is (though I'm not sure)... if memory serves, it's based on the score of the previous recordings submitted by each player. Therefore:

Say your last two recordings are 732 and 708, and the person you tied with has recordings of 732 and 707. You would go on, the other person would not.

Now, say that they were 732, 708 and 704 for you and 732, 708, and 705 for the other person. Sorry, you're out.

Dunno if this is RIGHT, though...

Just a few ideas to help :

In real soccer tournaments, teams with the same goal difference are ranked with the number of "goals for" (so a 732 with 34-2 would be better than a 732 with 32-0) ; other solution (more simple because there is still a trace - how to know what is the 2nd score made by a player, or how to do if there is only 1 entry for a player ?) is to look ranks for the 2 players tied on the previous round(s) : scores on unsquad would decide ; or scores on all previous rounds ?

It's up to JD, Lagavulin & Brian to decide

Alright, here's the plan for a tie:

1. All tying players meet in a colloseum equipped with weaponry and protection.

2. A 50 metre rod in the middle of the arena is constantly rotating, and must be jumped over while fighting

3. The survivor goes on to the next round.

OK, serious time!!!!!! To quote the MC2 page:

"In case of a tie, the results of the last round for the tied players determine the final standings."

So, in this case, the position in U.N. Squadron will determine what to do with a tie. Yay! (Off the topic, it was Brian Mclean that pointed to me the tie clause in the rules :) )

Sincerely,

J.D. Lowe

J.D., don't make me come over there with the 50-meter rod.

Well, unfortunately due to being seriously hampered by being away for the best part of this round I think I will bow gracefully out of the tournament on this round.

Good grief I'm struggling to even win the 1st round let alone average > 6 points difference in my favour over all 7 games.

Good luck to all those successful in passing this round.

Cheers, BeeJay.
