How do I attract substantial corporate partners to work with my company on joint projects? I'd like to partner with a bookseller, an executive search firm, and a law firm to build relevant sections of my portal website. Should I contact them by e-mail, fax, or telephone--or should I look for an intermediary to contact them on my behalf?

Second - who in the organization has the power to agree w/ your offer?

Third - make the call and relate to them as people 1st and titles 2nd.
