Response to HOT

We're finally warming up here in KY, it got about 84 today. I miss those Carolina temps. Ken. Wilmington is my hometown, not too far from you.

Robins egg blue skies, 70 degrees-until I got out of work at 5pm! Clouded up before I got home, and T-storms since. Ah Spring!

It got close to 50 here today...drizzly. Good day for tree planting, so I popped in a dwarf Van cherry and a dwarf Bing. Very seasonally spring-like around here. Eighties! Sheesh! That's hot stuff in the summer around here!

We had a wood fire until Wed. or Thurs. last week. Friday I opened most of the windows. Was 82 today here. West of us about 100 miles, St. Louis had 90! I did hope we would have some spring weather--I am definately not a summer people. Need some rain, too, for mushrooms.

Response to HOT

It seemed to happened all at once here. Last 4 days, 80's and today 85. Peach trees are blooming pink and beautiful, bees, wasps, leaves comming out on the first trees, tulips and I've allot of tall grass to mow! I'm not going to complain at all, I don't like the cold, never did.

It feels so strange to walk around the house in shorts and barefoot with all the windows and screen doors open! It seems like forever since I put wood in the stove. I hope it is here to stay. We are getting some storms tonight, I sure do hope it dosen't knock all the pretty pink flowers off of my trees! The farm fields are purple with the flowers, gosh it's neat. Does my heart good.

Those starlings are here trying to tear up my house too, bad birds. I have cardinals and my rufus sided towhees came the other day. Our pastures are so green. I've been ready for this since December!

Response to HOT

We had warm and WINDY weather on Saturday (low 70's), and the upper 60's Sunday, but today it didn't even make 50. Which is more seasonable for here . . . .

Ahh, come on!! The high today was 39, and gusty winds up to 60 miles per hour. Chance of snow the rest of the week!! sigh....ready for spring! Sissy

-- Sissy Sylvester-Barth (iblong2Him@ilovejesus.net), April 10, 2001.

Sissy I'll trade you 90 degree for 39 degree anyday. You can warm up but its hard to cool down.
