Rough Landing For Plane In Daytona Beach

There was scare Tuesday night for 134 people onboard a Delta Air Lines flight on its way to Central Florida.

The MD-88 was on a flight from Atlanta to Daytona Beach when the pilot got indications that hydraulic fluid was leaking.

The indicator prompted emergency preparations on the ground in Daytona Beach. Foam was spread on the runway as a precaution. The plane taxied safely to the gate.

During the landing, the doors to the landing gear dragged on the ground, but the wheels did not fail.

Delta was able to reseat some passengers on the connecting flight, but others who could not be accomodated were put up in hotels by the airline.
