MoNsTeR TrUcKs!!!!!!!!!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

Junk Yard Wars could definatly do a show on Monster Trucks! Have the teams build trucks and try to climb the highest up a hill that gets steadily steeper and steeper. The team who has the greatest amount of metres climbed in three tries would be declared the winners.

Sincerly, Wayne Fink

Do we have to mail all the posts to this thread?

-- Trevor (webmaster@deepscience.com), April 06, 2001.

Could we post here that we mailed there?

-- Chip Haynes (ehaynes@co.pinellas.fl.us), April 06, 2001.

That might work, then when he looks here, he will know that we mailed there.

Actually, it's neither here nor there. (Thanks to the quirky Internet and a screwed up postal system.)

What are you saying about my hair?

Notice it was started by a Canuck! Do they have postal service up dare, eh?

-- john gap (mindthegap64@hotmail.com), April 06, 2001.

Nah we don't have a postal service as such. It's actually one guy who goes from igloo to igloo by dog sled.

Hey...I know that guy...he does the news for the Amish here in Ohio!

-- Dan Denney (rustrenegades@hotmail.com), April 08, 2001.

yeah, likely same guy. I think his name is John.

Wayne, I think you have a good idea for Junkyard Wars. "Have the teams build trucks and try to climb the highest up a hill that gets steadily steeper and steeper. The team who has the greatest amount of metres climbed in three tries would be declared the winners." Your show suggestion sounds like the description of a Hill Climbing Vehicle and not a Monster Truck. A must for your Hill Climbing Vehicle would be a roll cage, 5 point harness, and a helmet in the event of a roll over.

And maybe have a second challenge to see who rolls the furthest after they flip over? No wait- I suggested that once and got royally flamed. Never mind.
