Slick Willie's dubious honor

He's gone from the most powerful man in the world to most foolish in the hearts of his countrymen. Bill Clinton was voted the Most Foolish American in an April Fool's Day survey, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Eighty-five percent of the 1,046 people polled said Clinton had ``done something foolish'' in the past year. The former president had a 16-point lead over his nearest rival, actor Robert Downey Jr. (69 percent), who was arrested on drug charges while on probation for a previous drug offense.

Others on the list, compiled by New York-based public relations consultant Jeff Barge, included the Rev. Jesse Jackson, whose admission that he fathered a staffer's child out of wedlock while counseling Clinton at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal garnered 67 percent of the votes cast; Sean ``Puffy'' Combs -- or is it now P. Diddy? -- (64 percent); Homer Simpson (56 percent); and President Bush (48 percent).

Secretary of State Colin Powell (13 percent) was ranked the least foolish American in the survey.

President Bush (48 percent)

48 percent and he's only been in office for 4 months. I can't wait to see the number after 4 years.

Amazing what happens when you read the whole statement, "done something foolish in the past year". Nothing to do with the last eight years. Hmmm I wonder how that would look in a poll.
