Hi Friends, I have a very sweet little Jersey Cow that I need to move. I have her mother and several fresh goats and I just don't need the milk. She is a small cow, the old fashioned type of jersey, is halter broke and has been handled daily since the day she was born, is used to children, dogs, cats, goats, horses, etc. She has been dehorned and is current on vacc. and wormings. She freshened on the last day of Nov. and is giving around 4 plus gal a day. Is very gentle and kind and will stand quietly to milk. Would be a nice first cow. She is open now, but is an easy breeder, she settled last year on her first AI. I love her and she is really a pet more than anything, but I need to sell one of my cows I would like to see her go to a nice home. I am located in Central Nebraska. Asking $900.

If someone east of me were to buy her, I have an Angus bull which isn't doing anything at the moment since he is separated from the herd for 6-8 weeks. I suspect he wouldn't mind a little female companionship. Only charge will be for his cigarette afterwards.

We had originally planned on getting a milk cow but the cost to obtain one down here, if a dairy would let one go, was prohibitive. We just aquired dairy goats but one of my three children refuses to drink the milk. I know we would have to keep the goats since all three children are attached now but maybe a dairy cow is still an option. The boss hasen't said one way or the other. Eric

I wish we lived closer. I live on the california side of the cali/oregon border on the coast. If I had a way to get her home I would buy her in a moment....I have a jersey cow at home and we milk her and raise calves on her she is 2 years old.
