karaoke vcd - how to hear the singer's voice?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Hi there,

I just bought a karaoke vcd. I tried to play the tracks in my laptop, but only the music without the singer's voice is played. How do I turn the singer's voice on? ie. to turn from digital to analog (this is what is done when using a normal karaoke player to get the singer's voice). Thanks for any help!

Try enabling or disabling the audio channel, such as left and right, on the VCD player.

If you are using Window Media Player Version 6.4, here is how to do it.

Select the tab View, then Settings, then MPEG Audio Decorder. Under Channel, select Both and then click Apply. Now both left and right audio channels will play.

Changing digital to analog for singer's voice applies only to Laser Disc Karaoke system.
