YES! May I have some flames, please??

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unk's Wild Wild West : One Thread

Afternoon!

Yuppers, it's SqrlGrl of BAN ME fame.

Lois = me, by the way, is not dangerous (?), she's just been through a whole lotta shit, and gets righteously pissed off sometimes, and needs to let fly. Forums are a safe place to do that (well, some forums, that is.)

SqrlGrl = Libertarian, Druid, homeschooler, mom and grandma, middle aged, average in most ways, high IQ tho, and my stand on most things is usually what society considers extreme (or, at the very least, wierd.) I hate porn, but if you want to support it, knock yourself out; I hate anything to do with pedophilia, and will fight you to the end on that one; I love a whole lot more than I hate, but what I hate, I hate with a passion. I am, by nature, a passionate person.

My two favorite games are "Rainbow Six; Covert Ops" (wherein I'm learning how to be a CT) :D , and Diablo2 (wherein I'm a 27th level Paladin bent on saving the world.)

Abby -- hi! As you know, I don't agree with a lot of what you say, but you have every right to say it.

PN -- groan.

Everyone else... here comes another temper tantrum ------- can I have some flames, please?! Lots of them!

Nice to meet you!

SqrlGrl

Welcome SqrlGrl...Only have time for one little flame...

Gotta run...see ya around!

-- Peg (pegmcleod@mediaone.net), March 31, 2001.

Hey Babe, got any pictures? I've seen you at work over there at Sleazy. I generally agree with your views, and like the way you don't take any crap from those narrow-minded degenerates over there at Nazi Central. Bush is an a-hole and I know you agree, but don't even think about trying to pretend that he has a single redeeming quality, or you will hear from me. Welcome to the free world! ;-)

-- Dumbya hater (save our country @ kill. shrub now), March 31, 2001.

Plenty of room for a woman with an attitude around here. Welcome.

-- Debra (Thisis@it.com), March 31, 2001.

Hey SqrlGrl! Welcome to you

-- (cin@cin.cin), March 31, 2001.

No flames here, I dont know how to do the html.

WELCOME there SG, good to see some more faces.

Capn, um, ask them if they like to party will ya? :-)

-- sumer (shh@aol.con), March 31, 2001.

'sumer! How are you? Be nice to Sqrlgrl! she's a Buckeye, too. She resides in SE (?) Ohio, if I remember correctly and wants to bail out and move to TX? She should move up to Columbus where all of us geeky techies live. I think that's what I read of her posts when I last cruised a certain other board.

Hey, 'sumer, you asked on another thread whether your new Honda was safe from criminals. Just be careful where you park and keep it in a locked garage at night. My AAA rep says that air bag thefts are down in Cleveland.

-- (kb8um8@yahoo.com), March 31, 2001.

Sumer!!!

Did you say party??? Mayhaps we should open the bar? free rounds for all!!! and shots too!!!

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), March 31, 2001.

SqrlGrl :

Happened to read your Spoon thread. It was the best thing that I have seen on a bb. Long live Matrix

Best Wishes,,,

"...your Spoon thread... was the best thing that I have seen on a bb."

For the benefit of those of us who do not know SqrlGrl and are not familiar with the denizens of TimeBomb, might you be so kind as to provide us a link? Thank you.

"YES! May I have some flames, please??"

Um. A strange request, but, er... You ignorant Bitch! (Was that good enough or do I really have to exert myself?)

-- Little Nipper (canis@minor.net), March 31, 2001.

Glad to have ya here, Squl Grl!! A wolverine LIBERTARIAN welcomes a buckeye LIBERTARIAN!

Hmmm....you can probably tell which is more important to me, eh? :)

-- Eve (eve_rebekah@yahoo.com), March 31, 2001.

Hey SqrlGrl !!!

Welcome,I'm your local wine/spirits guru,as well as the island hopping bartender and proprieter of the Capnfun Tiki Hut and Roadhouse.Have fun!!!

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), March 31, 2001.

Did I hear, "Bar's open"? I'm in need of some spiked hot chocolate. I raked out several bags of last fall's leaves and changed the oil on two vehicles. I'm now ready for spring. Where is it? Who scared it away? Who? Who?

-- kb8 (kb8um8@yahoo.com), March 31, 2001.

No fair kb8, my fall leaves are still all over my lawn, my rake is missing, my lawnmower is broken and my Christmas lights are still up. Oh woe is me. So much to do and so little time (and materials).

capn - may I have a drink ... please?

-- Debra (Thisis@it.com), March 31, 2001.

Ha Ohio is on the 'roll' tonite.

Kb, sorry if it was taken wrong, i meant no harm, welcome squirrel girl and fellow ohioan.

-- sumer (shh@aol.con), March 31, 2001.

(((((((SUMER!!!!))))))))) i think that supposed to be a hug. Have more hot chocolate maybe someone will make popcorn ..... damn! I know better than to drink on an empty stomach good thing there are steaks and I have a propane grill

-- (kb8um8@yahoo.com), March 31, 2001.

Take a shower next time, dude! I can smell ya from back here. I know those are yer weekend jeans but you really oughta wash them once in awhile.

-- (Weeble@wee.ble), March 31, 2001.

Evenin'!

Peg, Thanks for the welcome, and that flame should keep me warm for awhile.

Dumbya hater, Well, I'm not quite sure how to hook up to just my picture, but here's a link to a new site I'm currently working on. There are two pics of me there; one in my human form, and one in my rodent form.

:D ... taking any crap from anyone, is not something I do with any significant amount of grace (tho I do try.. honest.) No worries, I am in complete agreement with you on Dumbya. Thanks for the welcome!

Debra, "Plenty of room for a woman with an attitude around here. Welcome." I'm definately in the right place then, and Thank You!

Cin, hey! Thanks for the welcome.

sumer, No problem, I don't know how to bring the images here, either. I'll get it figured out tho. Party? As long as you're not pushin' tupperware... :) Thanks for the welcome!

kb8um8, Hmmmmmm... I love a mystery. Decided against the move to Texas; just gonna keep my butt firmly planted among the Buckeyes (yes, SE) ... according to Cayce, it's one of the only states that won't fall into the ocean! :D Columbus is a possibility, we'll see what the future brings.

Z, That spoon thread was pretty strange, wasn' it? Actually, it started out as a joke, but then I (as I sometimes do) began to take myself too seriously, and it just kinda snowballed from there. Whew! The Matrix (and Keanu Reeves) forever! (okay, so I'm just a little old lady, but I can still recognize a great tush when I see one!) :D

Little Nipper, Now that's what I call a masterful flame!! Thank You! LOL

Eve, And this buckeye LIBERTARIAN! thanks the wolverine LIBERTARIAN!! Yes, because if it doesn't come first, the day may come when there may not be any buckeyes, or wolverines.... Nice to be here!

capnfun, Make mine Cream Sherry, please? Fun? First I gotta get used to breathing again... all this open, uncensored space is making me giddy! :D

Hot chocolate? Did someone say HOT CHOCOLATE? Coming through, s'cuse me, s'cuse me, coming through....

Have a great evening everyone! I'm off to do the family thing for the rest of the evening. Thanks for the wide-open welcome (and, the great flames.) SqrlGrl

sqrlgrl@citrus.zzn.com), March 31, 2001.

Ummmm... hmmmmm... well, I DID say that I didn't know how to link an image... but... well, this is definately embarassing... I tried to put up a link to the images on my site, and ... well, you can see the results... I'm not sure (gonna try it out in a sec here) but, I think I've linked my entire post to my site!! Yikes. Promise not to let this happen again. Time to go figure out what I did wrong.

SqrlGrl -- who's red-faced at the moment. :D

-- SqrlGrl (sqrlgrl@citrus.zzn.com), March 31, 2001.

Plenty of room for a woman with an attitude around here. Welcome.

Yep we need one of those since we don't have ANY women with attitudes here already *grin*.

Well to be honest, I don't think we have any women here WITHOUT some sort of attitude! LOL

-- Cherri (jessam5@home.com), March 31, 2001.

*grin* Everyone takes their normal places. I don't think we could function without all of our diverse, complimentary, confrontationally, interactivitly, expectantly consistant group of posters.

How did it come to this? We are drawn together even in our opposition to each others views. I think that is why we continue so well together, we may disagree with others here, but we respect the right of the others to voice their opinions. Even if we jump in their shit for those views, we would be nothing if we demanded all of us had to have the same views and could only speak in restricted formats approved by self appointed leaders.

-- Cherri (jessam5@home.com), March 31, 2001.

Thanks for the invite, Unk! If two of my favorite gals think this spots alright, who am I to argue? Hi SqrlGrl........Hi Abby. PN, you are the most ungracious prick I've ever met, but then I haven't really met you, have I? Thank God for small favours.

Howdy to the rest of you.

Dan

-- Dan Reilly (soThis@isFreeSpeech.huh), April 01, 2001.

Hey Dan,

Glad to see ya make the transition, hope ya like it guy! It can get a bits rowdy but there is a sublime beauty in being able to speak your mind without admin reprisals.Welcome.

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), April 01, 2001.

Yes sir, I can already see the benefits of walking on solid ground instead of tiptoeing around eggshells. Mind you, calling a prick a prick without actually saying so DID tend to improve one's tact :) Still, I prefer the former; less hypocrisy involved.

Dan

-- Dan Reilly (soThis@isFreeSpeech.huh), April 01, 2001.

Dan!

So glad to see you here. Solid ground...what a wonderful way to put it.

There is a time and place for diplomacy (and it does allow one to exercise creativity), but there are times when one must simply call a spade a spade. Being able to discern the difference between these two times, is where the real exercise begins.

I'm looking forward to getting a lot of exercise here! ;D

HI HO SqrlGrl,

It's sort of like taking off the straitjacket for the first time, doncha think?...not that I'm admitting nothin'! It just FEELS like noone is perched above vulture-like, lookin' down to pass judgment on you, or poopin on our heads, like other places we both know.

Glad to have a place to stretch the wings a bit.

Talk to you later, Dan

-- Dan Reilly (soThis@isFreeSpeech.huh), April 01, 2001.

Hi Dan, and welcome! If I'm not mistaken, I believe that way back we had some religious conversations over at EZ. I hope you don't hold it against me that I won 'em all, that you understood this, and that logically you've therefore probably abandoned Christianity and become -- oh -- at least a Deist by this point. Am I right? :)

(Eve, now with a "what'd-she-do---sleep-with-a-hanger-in-her-mouth?- grin-that-won't-quit" drops down the facial protection mask (the "vent-tail") on her 16th c. suit of armor rented especially for occasions like these, and raises her head and folds her arms with a new-found confidence.)

-- Eve (eve_rebekah@yahoo.com), April 02, 2001.

Eve, you and David should probably move the next chess game outside. Both of you could do with some fresh air. And I'm not taking about the band.

-- (Weeble@wee.ble), April 02, 2001.

Hi Eve,

Thanks for the welcome. I've had so many disagreements that it's tough to recall everyone who ever unfairly picked on me..., but I do remember when you did, but ever so slightly :) Thanks for remembering me, btw. It's always nice to be remembered, especially when so many people spend so much time and energy trying to forget me.

Nice talking to you, again. Oh, I am still as fierce a Christian as ever, just don't work so hard at convincing others anymore. I figure that is to each individual to make their own decisions once they've had the benefit of hearing the Truth of Jesus Christ.

Take Care, Dan

"SqrlGrl = Libertarian, Druid, homeschooler, mom and grandma, middle aged, average in most ways, high IQ tho"/b>

In my experience, the only people who tell others that "they have a high IQ" usually don't. Even if they do - how cheezy to mention it...

Idiot Savant,

"In my experience, the only people who tell others that "they have a high IQ" usually don't. Even if they do - how cheezy to mention it."

Geeze, dude! It was a joke, so chill. Following your logic, tho... I suppose that calling one's self an idiot is an indicator of genius?

A genuinely amused -- SqrlGrl

Hi Sqrl Grl

How ya doing? I'm not staying just hanging for a minute to say hi to you.
