Is it OK to offer for sale a homestead on Countryside Forum?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

In the past nine months since my stroke, I have bounced back and forth between wanting to sell out and move to town, and stick it out here hoping things get better. Enough of my banter. My question is this: Is it allowed on the Countryside Forum to offer for sale our place when the time comes we want to leave?

I don't think either Dave Belanger or I would have a problem with it. We normally work on a complaint situation. I have discretion on 'no brainers'. Questionable ones I elevate to Dave for his decision.

My DW and I are seeking a Mountain Homestead, at least 20 acres, but preferably 50 or more in West Virginia / Virginia - Pennsylvania area.

Rick,

In Maryland

PS We will consider Maryland where the taxes are high, and the gun laws protect criminals.

I'm also sorry to hear about your stroke, I hope you get better. Maybe a good option for you is to share a homestead with other like minded people. I've considered the idea many times, but don't know how to start really. Maybe someone dreaming of homesteading would buy half of your place and help you. Several of us have our places for sale or relocating to another state, no one has had any problem with it that I have heard. Please keep us posted on how you are doing, maybe we can help in some way.

jonesey, Whatever your decision is about where to hang your hat, you will always have a home at countryside! Best of luck on your decision.
