Minox B Query

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MINOX FAQ : One Thread

I picked up a second-hand Minox B recently from a local shop. I've pretty much worked out how it works, but I have one question: if I open it up then decide not to take a shot, by closing it do I automatically wind the film on and therefore waste an exposure? Also, does anyone in the UK know where I can get film and processing?

The answer to your question is - YES (you can see that by observing the filmcounter - it steps up when you close the camera)

The Minox C is the first model can be closed without moving the film forward.

You can get the minopan 100 from any jessops. some keep a roll or two in stock but with a phone call you can get as much as you like. They can probably order other sorts, ive never tried. You can convert any normal developing tank to one which works for minox with an elastic band and a pair of paper clips. It works. Laters Dom
