Would anyone like to help a family on the forum ?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

OK as everyone has probally read already Cindy had a tragic Killing at her homestead .All but 1 of her goats where killed .Cindy and her children also have Lupus ,this alone would put a big strain on someone .This has to be putting an emotional and financel strain on the family.I would like to put it on one thread so everybody reads it .Started by Vicki the list is growing with kindness, people offering to help out .Vicki offered a doeling as did others .Some offered what they could afford to help out .Cindy and the kids where lucky to find a puppy to raise up as a guard dog .The dog will need to be fixed along with shots and wormings .Anyone who would like to help can either make the offer here , email Cindy or if you would like email me and i will get it to her .This is one of the great things about "family" everyone helping each other .We may be seperated by states , but are always near in the heart .Cindy and family I hope you do not mind my posting this .

We can help with a young buck (maby with papers..Boer) or a spanish x doe, just dont have plans to go back to Oklahoma to take them there so will need to cordinate with Vickie or others to get it to Cindy. Please keep Us informed as to transportation plans so we can meet with Vickie or whatever. God Bless and Our Prayers are with Cindy.

The over whelming response on and of the forum is amazing !I have allot of people who want to help but would rather remain nameless .If they won't pat themselves on the back I will with a big THANKS .

I will cover the cost of neutering the new dog. Would be easiest to just have the actual vet bill, I can call & pay it with my credit card over the phone. Cindy's post saddened me terribly. Disaster can be around any corner! I would also like an address to send a card.

Patty, please e-mail the address to me also. Thank you.

Me too. Life's been crazy here this week and I didn't get a chance to post a message to her. She's sure in our prayers though.

Love,

Send me an address where I can send something to help cover the expenses of getting some new goats. This is a sad thing to happen to any one. My condolences to Cindy and her family.

-- Cindy (colawson@mindspring.com), March 29, 2001.

When I first read about losing all of the goats, my heart went out to them. I have a bottle baby nubian (girl) in the house (4days old) that I really need to find a good home for. I didn't mention it earlier as I wanted to be sure that it would thrive.

I live in southern IA. If we can find a way to get it to OK, I would love for them to have it. I also have all the milk replacer it would need.

If you want to get ahold of me, my email is real.

Patty, I live in southeast Kansas and can help with the replacement goat part if she(Cindy) likes Nubians. I could easily take one to her as Oklahoma is very close. If I can help with transporting other goats to her just email me. God bless to cindy and children.

Please forward the mailing address for Cindy's family. I'd be happy to help.

Dear Cindy,

You and your family are going to be all right and you will always be in our prayers and thoughts. I've followed the Lupus line (thread) on the site and want to tell you that both my siter and I have had this disease for over 20 years and (despite medical opinions to the contrary) we continue to beat it. And, I sure that you will, too. Remember we'll be here for you. Take care, now. We'll be glad to send you some feed money for the new goats that it looks like you're going to get..
