eos 750, what bodies will the lens work on?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

i recently purchsed an eos 750, complete with2 lens, a 28-80mm canon, and a 70-300 mm sigma(prospec), my question is this, what bodies will these lens work with?? i think the camera is terrific for the beginner, but not quite enough features for a bug like myself, love the lens though, they take some wonderful pics

The Canon lens will work with any Canon EOS camera. The Sigma should work with them all as well, but older Sigma lenses often don't work with newer Canon camera bodies. They just lock up the camera or work for a while and then lock up. No damage is done, so just removing the lens gets things going again.

If you can get to a camera store & try it out on a new EOS 300/Rebel 2000, 30/Elan 7 or 5/A2, you could save yourself some later grief.

To increase the probability of the Sigma lens working with another/newer Canon body, you should try some of the older (but far better than the 750) bodies like the original Elan (not the 50/Elan II or Elan 7) or the 10/10S or for more money the 5/A2. These are all great cameras, and there are a lot of other options as well.
