Photographic paper and X-ray luggage check

Hi,

I´m planning to buy photographic paper abroad. Is there a problem in taking photographic paper (variable contrast) through the X-ray check of your luggage in the airport? Should I better take it in my handluggage as I do with film, or can I put in my suitcase?

Thanks,

I would carry it on since the scanners they use for checked baggage are a good bit stronger.I have heard of film being damaged in checked baggage but never in carry on.-J
