curiculum fair in May

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

If anyone is interested, the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania curiculum fair is May the 10th and 11th, at the farm expo center. When we were there last they had over 7000 homeschool parents in attendance, and all enjoyed (i'm sure) the seminars, exhibitors, new and used tapes, books, curiculum, and reference materials. For further information, advanced reservations, table info, and etc. see: http://www.chapboard.org/ See you at the fair!

Right, Dude... LET ME TRY THAT AGAIN: the dates are May 11th and 12th. (Mother's day weekend) Mothers should probably all tell their husbands how NICE it would be for mother's day, for them to stroll the exhibits together! (that's what my DW does to me). It's fun, though, and the children benefit, for sure. I remember at one seminar, we were taught how to remember where some of those hard to remember states were. We learned about Chief Mimal...Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, and Lousiana. (Shaped like an indian, if you look at them, on the map) Also, which is on top? Washington? or Oregon? Well, looking at just the west coastline, it's Wash - or - Cal. Memory aids... they taught a bunch of them. Just FYI

Hey AD,

If I can talk my dh into it, I'll be there. He's been at least once. I had asked him to take a look at the Saxon material for me and he came back with 6 years worth of it. Discount for bulk he said. HA!
