car question,,(car value)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Hi,,I am wondering if anyone knows if a 1977 Plymouth Volare is considered a classic. It has been sitting beside my driveway for a year and not sure what to do with it. Belongs to my son. He already has another car he drives,,but would like to know more about this type of car. It is souped up,runs good, but needs other repairs. May sell it, and knowing how it is classified would help. ,,Us Single moms sure have a hard time figuring some of this stuff out.:),,Thanks,,,Have a good evening...

Response to car question,,

Patsy, go to www.ebay.com and search for Plymouth Volare. If there are any being auctioned, look at each and mark to watch, the ones closest to your Volare. When the auctions close you will know the approx. mrket value of yours. Also ckeck the blue book value at any bank.

Perhaps you could trade for a Corvair, Pinto, or Gremlin! Or you could go to and check it out. GL!

Is the car a 2 or 4 door? Some people are starting to consider the dodge aspen 2 door/ plymouth volare 2 door cars a collectors item- depending on what trim packages it came with, plus engine, ralleye wheels, tranmission, etc. If your car is a 4 door, sorry- no collectors item there (at least not yet).
