Motorized Bar Stool Racing? You know, I was going to make fun of it, but now I think you may be on to something there! Get Guinness to sponsor it and it could go global! Of course, it would be a whole new show (no need to show them building, just racing), but who cares- It would be hilarious!

It's been done. I saw it on CNN or somewhere some years ago. they were powered by auto starters probably ford starters. lotsa corners kept the speed down. would be an intresting episode.

I don't know what Thomas had in mind, but I was thinking more along the lines of four bar stools bolted to a chassis, powered by a 100cc gas engine. All four team members would have to go along for the ride: One steers, one brakes, one controls the throttle and the fourth handles the clutch and gears, if any. Of course it would have to be a firgure 8 track for that added gulp of danger.

there is a comercially built motorized barstool!..its called the barfly! a friend of mine owns the company......powered by a 5HP briggs eng and has go cart wheels , pretty fun rigs!
