how to make a vcd in nero 5

There are quite a few people who have asked the same question in this group so you may find a better answer than this but anyways here goes -

Assuming you have created a good MPEG 1 file, all you need to do using NERO 5 is to select the make VCD option and follow instruction on burning the CD. Now the problem you may have is that your VCD player is not compatible to play these homemade VCD's. Most DVD players do not support it either unless they are Pioneer or Sony (older versions). These have a double lens system which supports VCD/MP3 etc.

i had this problem until i downloaded mpeg1&2 plugin from nero and it worked fine apart from the fact that certain films played back upside down,i don't think the encoding software is that highly rated by many people i am waiting for a reply email from nero to explain to me what the hell is going on.When i hear from them i will let you know good luck.
