SELKIRK, N.Y., March 21 – updated March 21st, 11am) The freight train conductor pinned between two rail cars remains in serious condition at Albany Medical Center. It happened last night at the rail yard in Selkirk. 37 year old Brian Hotaling of Ravena had been riding on the outside of one car when another car derailed. The accident pinned his leg from his pelvis to his ankle, trapping him for an hour and a half before rescuers could finally free him. Hotaling is a conductor who has been working with CSX at the Selkirk yard since August of 1998.
