How can I change my PalmVx into a EOS5 / A2e remote control

I have an EOS5, and I need to get a remote control, as no cable realese can work. I'm almost sure that I can use my palm as a remote control, but I don't know how Does anybody know? thanks

I thought the EOS5/A2 used the standard Canon 60-T3 remote release.

As far as I know the only way you could use a PalmVx as a remote would be to throw it at the camera and hope it hits the shutter release button...

Make sure you do it right -- you'll need a heavy tripod.

The EOS 5 doesn't have a IR port for the Palm to use, but the 100/50/30/Elan/ElanII/Elan7 do. Has anyone gotten a Palm/Visor to drive one of those?

I tried a bunch of Palm IR remote programs but couldn't get it to recognize my RC-1 remote control. I don't know if it's impossible, but I wasn't able to get it to functio
