At this point in time anything with analogue capture only like this Marvel is destined for rapid obsolesence. You will soon want FireWire and so it's better to get something that offers both FireWire and analogue capture now. Matrox themselves have the excellent RT2000, which may be expensive at $999 but if you're really serious about S/VCDs and want to be cutting edge for quite some time it's the way to go.
