Ted Kennedy's dog

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unk's Wild Wild West : One Thread

I heard this on Don Imus this morning. He claimed to have verified it with Brokaw and Roll Call. I could find nothing on the Net to confirm this tacky tidbit. What the hell am I talking about?

Ted Kennedy has a dog named SPLASH!

Man Lars. As funny as that is, it just stretches the line of reality a bit too thin.

If it were true, someone should remove Ted's testicles forcibly.

I dunno, I heard it on Imus this morning and he seemed his normally grouchy, cynical self. If anyone sees a reference to this rumor, I hope they will pass it on.

Ya know I could almost believe it. Stupid name for a pet though.

Thanks Lars you gave me a chuckle today.

Best I can do, I guess it's his nephew's dog-------

Joining Kennedy at the event were his nephew Max Kennedy, who is also his campaign chairman; his wife, Victoria, her son and daughter; and his dog Splash.

A dog named Splash

Lars-

Come on man, you had to know that was too good to be true. The dog is probably named Splash because his family is into water sports. I think it's a great name for a dog, if a bit ironic in this case. Of course, I have an imagination.

Off, damn tag.

Maria, do you ever have anything nice or positive to say??? yah I thought not

Tarz, Imus did say the dog was a Golden Retriever. So maybe the nephew actually uses doggie to retrieve shotgunned ducks from Cape Cod Bay. Maybe the nephew never consulted Unc Ted in naming the dog. Maybe the nephew is too young to relate to Chappaquidic. Maybe the nephew doesn't give a shit.

Yeah, I thought it was too good to be true. But I rely on I-man for all my news except for what I get here. Between the two, I get a wonderfully skewed view of the world.

Doc, this one's for you. HAVE A NICE FUCKIN' DAY!

Lars I apologize for doing that on your thread - hope you don't mind.
