A good idea, Chrissy, but I would prefer to see robots cleaning my house rather than on the show.

It might be too hard a challenge for 10 hours, though. Lots of engineers and scientists have been working on house-cleaning robots for years with only some modest success. To learn more you could visit http://www.servusrobots.com/ or read about Frances Gabe, a woman who invented a self-cleaning house at http://www.inventors.about.com/science/inventors/library/inventors/blgabe.htm .

Thanks Chrissy...my wife has made me convert my Battlebot into a house cleaning robot. I had to take the big blade off and put a feather duster in it's place.

Chrissy

When I was married I was the robot that cleaned. My X would leave me a list of duties each Saturday morning.

If you are married and your hubby isn't programmed, I suggest you get on it.

(by the way, great idea, but think it would be a bit difficult for a challenge to make in ten hours from normal junkyard junk).

Perhaps robots that clean is a bit difficult... but how about "street sweepers". This could showcase the scientific principles of vacume. A race to clean a dirty parking lot.

cheers,

How about another variation of that, like a robot that finds and scoops up all the dog piles in the yard (before my shoe does).
