Hopefully something along the lines of this: Given - Keep going Bonny LadGriffin - Finally nails his place in the side
Hughes - Continues improvement
A N Other - A commanding centre back who wants to play for us, whatever nationality he is as long as he is committed i.e. another Albert would do me!
Quinn - Hopefully after a good finish to the season 00/01 this lad will cement his place in the side and realise the potential
Dyer - Right wing slot for you mate, yours for the season
Acuna - Holding role for you.
Bassedas - Midfield playmaker for you
A N Other - A big strong left winger is what we need
Shearer - Finally shakes off the injury after playing the final games of the 00/01 season on crutches scoring three goals (all penalties!) Cort - Blazing finish to the season which saw NUFC clinch a European spot at the expense of local rivals Sunderland.

I'll go forHarper, griffin, S Caldwell, Hughes, (a new left back like Roberto Carlos) Acuna, Dyer, Speed (a new left winger such as ????? )Shearer, Bridges upfront.
Bassedas will have gone back to Argentina after his passport problem . Solano will be in Spain after a £6 million deal (marthelino thrown in free) and Dabizas and Cort will be injured again after coming back too soon this season. Matt Jansen will be on the bench with Ameobi, Lee, G Caldwell and our new young finish keeper, Jussi Pantiliner. Given having been sold to newly promoted Fulham.
