Organizers of Toronto's bid to host the 2008 Olympic Summer Games were on pins and needles yesterday after 11 members of the International Olympic Committee found themselves trapped in a downtown elevator. The members were heading for a news conference when their elevator got stuck at the Park Hyatt Hotel. The delegates were delayed for 80 minutes. Despite the incident, the IOC members praised Toronto's bid for its professionalism.
