Ever hear of a "Jobu" chainsaw?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I hadnt until I ran across an Ebay auction for one. Seems its an older Norwegian chainsaw. Dont know if the company still exists or if it has went down to history like old Strunk I had at one time.

Did run across a site giving sources of parts for old and oddball chainsaws. Its:

http://www.aone.com/~robert/saw33.html

Yes even sources for Jobu and Strunk parts.

They sold one at auction last saturday, for about 35 dollars. The fella that bought er said they cut real good and hold up well. (I'd never heard of them either.)

I also have a Jobu with a 16" bar. It has "Made in Canada" stamped all over it... My cousin who likes to work on small engines gave it to me about ten years ago. I don't know where he got it, but he didn't buy it new, that's fer sher.
