Who would you use for an expert, and how would they compete in the second part of the show? They try to put the teams into a challenge that they are not already experienced with, and put the expert in to help when things don't go right, and to suggest ways around problems as they come up.

Now hold on Waddy...this could have some merit in a "free for all" fun-fest.

The goal...make something that makes the viewers go COOL!

The method...You must educate and entertain while building. Presentation!

The expert...Must be a member of a former team.

The judge...Online voting through the internet the day after the time of air.

Why?...So school science rooms can be notified as a class project/homework for those with cable.

The winner...don't know until the show airs, that's why it would be a bonus show, the winner would not matter that much, it's all in the build! the real winners are the kids.

Could be a fun twist (and audience builder)

Yea Dan! Coupling the coolest invention with a cable in the classroom showing would be awesome. I'm going to put it on our web site. I'm a high school science teacher and this show is a phenomenon among the students--I am amazed at the number of kids who love the show.

High school science teacher, where were you when I was is school ?!? We watched (slept) through 40 year old b&w movies, the teacher was about as inspirational as watching paint dry!

Dan has a good plan. I feel that the teams would have to know ahead of time that they were going to be asked to build something of their own choosing. That way they would not spend valuable build time deciding what to build. With the filming coming to California, it would be a good time to tie the show in with the on line schools around the nation. I am very happy to have been involved with a show that actually gives some meaning to the connection between real life and science for the younger generation.
