Can anyone help me find any websites/communities were I could possibly sell this boat. I received it from my grandfather in Annapolis, but I live in central Mississippi where there is not much open water for it. It is a beautiful, classic boat with a sailing rig and all. Unfortunately it is collecting dust hanging in a horse barn. It has to be over 25 years old because he had it when I was just a kid. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I wish I could have it, but I have too many toys already. You can post free classified ads on two rowing websites: www.rowersworld.com and www.row2k.com. Also consider an auction on ebay in the sports/sporting goods/boating/general category

If it's one of the red cedar appledores, it was probably built around 1980-1983. There are very few with the sail rig around ( I've got one, too) so they may command a premium price if you find the right audience. You might contact the folks at Alden (www.rowalden.com) to see if they've got anyone looking - they have stopped building the wooden boats. Another resource is Messing About In Boats - a small boating magazine. You can find them at messingaboutinboats.com.
