car towed today, chicks ordered, eye medicine is expensive, rabbits are great, life goes on...

THis has been a typical week on our homestead...

Today my car died in the middle of a small town while I was going home from an interview for the newspaper....had to have it towed home and husband still hasn't discovered what's wrong with it so I have to figure out how to get to my meetings, etc. for the next few days....

Found out the medicine required to keep the blood vessals from bursting in my eyes costs nearly $100 for one month's supply...

Found out I DON'T HAVE low pressure glaucoma, Macular Degeneration or Central Cyrus....do still ahve a large gray spot over my left eye...

Cannot have the dye run in so they can see to do laser surgery to correct it because I am allergic to the dye and it would be too risky...

Does appear to be getting and it will be monitored while taking blood thinner...

Did have a WONDERFULLY PATIENT SPECIALIST who took time time tim etime time with me even tho his office in the hospital yesterday was super crowded!!!!!

Did order 21 hens and one rooster (for laying eggs, not for meat) from the co-op today and should get them in about three weeks!!!!!

All 18 rabbits are all doing well...I'm still working on learning to spin with a hand spindle and my knitting is coming along well...all the rabbits are growing their Angora fur so I need to be able to do my part well too!!!

Even tho we had the expense of the car towing---the insurance reimbursed us for that! Even tho we had the expense of the medicine, sweet husband still took me to the co-op to order the chickens and bought me 50 lb of rabbit feed and a bale of hay!!!

life goes on on the homestead! and life is good!!!!

Grampa always said "If you feel like the worlds kicking you in the rear end, look on the bright side, least your out in front!" :>) This will turn out to be one of those weeks you use to guage the really good ones by.

Suzy, what a woman! Hang in there girl. Check with your doctor and see if he can get your medicine through the manufactors. Tell him you simply cannot afford the meds you need. Also always ask for samples, doctors don't have samples for all meds but you might be supprised at what they have, but you need to ask. If the medicine is new and expensive, chances are the docs have samples, I have seen people get thier entire prescription with samples. I get samples of the meds I take, don't have insurance either. Take care
