None of the recordings I dload play back correctly. I went to the help page. I removed the cfg and hi files. Nothing works. I'm dying to watch these games. Please help.

You need to playback the recording with the version of mame it was recorded on in order for it to playback....

Apart from that, what error messages do u get??

What version of MAME r u using?? ie: DOS / WINDOWS etc.....

A very good thing to try that might solve all your problems is to delete the nvram directory, that thing creates nightmares when playing back and recording files.. deleteing the mame/nvram dir (and making sure it doesn't get recreated when you install mame) may work well helping to playback stuff...
