hi since 420ex is customized for elan 7 for the 7 point focussing system, what about if applied to 3 point focus in elan II? can it be fully optimized for the usage of the flash system? and if elan 7 used with 380ex, what about the point focus system? using 3 point or 7 point? and other compatibility features?

I have a 50e - elan IIe in usa - and a 420EX, and it works quite well; and the 50e can use all the features the 420ex offers - 2nd curtain sync incl.
