Researching: Hulse Imports of San Francisco

greenspun.com : LUSENET : San Francisco History : One Thread

I have an item that has a label that states: "Hulse Imports of San Francisco". I would appreciate any information about this business. Thanks in advance for any assistance whatsoever!

I also have 3 Liqueur bottles that have the Hulse Import Co. label. Have you been able to find any information? Would appreciate any feedback.

Well guess what, I too have an old antique egyptian lamp, with the label that states: " Hulse Imports of San Francisco", but there is a word in front of Hulse, I can't make out the second letter, either it's a (g) or a ( c), 'A_ENTS'. I brought this lamp at a yard sale. I would appreciate any feedback or infomation on this business. Thank you Iris Henderson

Just ran into this thread. This was my dad's fine wine and spirits business on Brannon Street in San Francisco. The bottles and vases held the Luxardo liquor from Italy. Dad sold the business in the early 60s (I believe) because he could no longer compete with the big companies.

The word is "Agent"

Do any of you wish to part with any of those family heirlooms? If you do , email to me. I'd love to have something to remind me of my grandfather...:)
