STAG WEEKEND

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Views on Dublin : One Thread

Hi,

I am planning to have my Stag doo in Dublin the weekend of the 1st June. I am getting mixed feelings from people regarding whether or not I will get a frosty reception in Dublin. Please let me know if this is the case and if so which pubs will HAPPILY accept Stag parties of up to 20 people.

Kind regards,

Steve

Steve,

It seems a few of us are in the same boat. I'm hoping to come to Dublin on the weekend of May 25th, and am looking for any information i can get on places where upto 20 of us might be able to stay, and places to go.

Perhaps if you get any helpful information you could share it with me and vice versa, if I get any info, i'll let you know

Regards

Simon

Hello Gents, your plight is indeed a hard one. But I'll do my best.. I've been to Dublin 4 times 3 of which were for STAG DO'S. The final one for my HONEYMOON! Your best bet is to stay in the hostels BARNACLES or ABBEY COURT, both of which are fine as I have stayed in both although ABBEY was better but BARNACLES is right in the TEMPLE BAR. You'll have to tell them that you are NOT A STAG PARTY, so book 10 people into each Hostel. There is lots of B & B's in DRUMCONDRA but that's miles away (about 10minutes in a TAXI!). You'll also be able to stay in the large hotels but they are expensive and the Hostels are much cheapness. So GOOD LUCK, and if all else fails WHITLEY BAY is really good!
