Sharing a homestead in Western Oregon

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Are there any people interested in sharing a homestead in Western Oregon? I am just exploring the possibilities. As a single woman I am overwhelmed by the expense and responsiblities of homesteading alone but I don't want to get married and I started thinking there might be others out there in a similar situation who might want to join forces.

Sorry... to far for the hubby to drive for work, but I have a question... Do you already own a place??? If not, I am checking into something that might be of interest if you don't mind moving a little farther west.....

There is a man here (in Idaho) who is selling off most of the land he owns. He's getting on in years and is offering a great deal. 2% down, 1% per month, and will let the buyer work off 5% of the price. No interest, and title after 10% has been paid.

Now.... I have to check this out a lot more carefully than I have been able to (just found out two days ago), but two people who've bought from him say he's legit, one already has a title. Reasons for checking more, the cliche about things being too good to be true....

So... If you are interested in something like this, I will post more. Or, email me, and I'll send my info directly to you.
