I haven't seen hannibal yet, and I don't plan to either. those kinds of movies freak me out. I can't stand them!

But I do want to see "The Mexican." my friends saw it last night and they said it was really good. It looks really good in the previews too. I wanted to see it today, but i have a dumb romeo and juliet rehearsal that i'm going to be late for anyway!! :o)

Ever seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre? It's supposed to be really scary, but it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen in my life. Especially how the other kids are always treating the guy in the wheelchair like shit. Funny stuff.

I saw Hannibal the weekend it came out. It was gross, but not scary at all. The "brain scene" kind of made me laugh in a sick way. It seemed really cartoonish. My friend's sister practically threw up in the theater, though.

The Silence of the Lambs is so much better in terms of creepiness. Most of the violence occurs offscreen, but it gets to you so much more than seeing some guy's bowels drop to the ground (was that *really* necessary?). It's such a great psychological thriller.

And I sound like an advertisement.

I like horror movies that are either insanely incredibly scary or so hideous they are humorous. Stephen King's "Sleepwalkers" and everybody's favorite "Frankenhooker" come to mind...

Whoops! I just realized my entry might possibly be taken to mean that "Sleepwalkers" is scary. It isn't. Not in the least. It contains the lines, "cop-kabob!" and "I guess it's just you and me now, Clovis." It's frickkin' hilarious... though I guess the book was scary, some say. Sorry for the mixup...

"Army of Darkness" is the funniest movie I have ever seen. I don't know if it's supposed to be a horror movie, but it's about a dude with a chainsaw as an arm trying to fight off these evil demon people. He says things like "Groovy." At one point in the movie, all these skeletons are marching and playing instruments. YOU CAN'T PLAY INSTRUMENTS IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT LUNGS! I kept telling my TV that but it didn't listen to me.

You should see this movie with a group of people...and you will thank me. Ha.

Actually, Evil Dead 1 and 2 were horror movies, but everyone who saw them just laughed. Evil Dead 3, which is actually called "Joe vs The Army of Darkness", is a spoof, ie taking the piss out of horror in general. Rent it. Now.

And "Chopper Mall" is the most predictable and pathetic horro I've ever seen. It's so bad it's funny.
