I'm going to answer, too. Here's a cool link when I have a question like that:http://www.metadragon.com/maps.html
I'm off in two weeks, and *we* (my lady and I) are going Tampa/St. Pete, where we'll act like seals -- lie on the beach and gorge ourselves with fish! I can't wait!

Sumer, she and I both have a handful of relatives in Clearwater and the surrounding area. Before we met, avoiding our relatives was a major reason for not going visiting Tampa. With both of us going, there's no pressure to stay with "Aunt Sue," etc., and our families are the type who would make a big deal out of us not staying if we went alone.I also have the board to thank for this trip because I mentioned going to Myrtle Beach in June to her, and in the ensuing discussion, we discovered that what we both really wanted to do was take a couple of days over her spring break and visit a not-too-expensive beach area, where we could just hang out, and not try to cram 50 hours of touring or fighting the crowds at WDW into a single trip. It was that last part that sold her, so I got our tickets/car/hotel reservations yesterday, and I'm glad that I did. The hotels she and I like to stay at are already booked, but we did okay price-wise, I thought.

You're welcome, Unk. I use that link a lot when I'm planning road trips or trying to give someone directions.

Sorry to snow on the parade of that link. I asked it for directions from my current home to my childhood home about 5 miles away. It was wrong by a landslide-not only with the quickest route, but it had the final direction all wrong-went right past the childhood home and made another turn away from the house.Hmm.

I gave KB that link, I've been using it over the last year and haven't had any problems. Have the streets changed around your childhood home recently?
